Samsung Galaxy S25 The series was launched at the Galaxy Unpacked event on Wednesday. The flagship smartphone lineup consists of three models – Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra. The series is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, which is specifically tuned for Galaxy devices. Samsung Galaxy S25 series will be shipped with Android 15-based latest One UI 7. This year’s lineup also includes many other AI features like Now Brief and Audio Eraser along with Night Video. Samsung has also announced the prices of Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+.

Samsung Galaxy S25 has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 80,999, which comes in the base 12GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration. It will also be available in 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB variants. Prices are yet to be revealed. Its pre-booking is on.

Samsung Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+ specifications

The biggest differences between the Samsung Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ are in the display and battery capacity. Both smartphones run on Android 15-based One UI 7. Samsung says that both these handsets will get seven years of OS and security updates. The Galaxy S25 has a 6.2-inch FHD+ (1,080×2,340 pixels) Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate. This panel comes with a peak brightness level of 2,600 nits. At the same time, Galaxy S25+ has a 6.7-inch (1,440×3,120 pixels) screen size with the same display specifications. Both smartphone models come with Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC tuned for Galaxy devices, paired with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 3.2 type storage.

There are some changes in the camera department as compared to the previous generation. Both the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ sport a triple rear camera setup, consisting of a 50-megapixel main camera with 2x in-sensor zoom and optical image stabilization (OIS), a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera with 120-degree field of view, and 3x optical A 10-megapixel telephoto camera with zoom and OIS is included. On the front, both handsets also have a 12-megapixel selfie camera.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 packs a 4,000mAh battery, which supports 25W fast charging, similar to last year’s model. At the same time, Galaxy S25+ has a large 4,900mAh battery with 45W charging support. Both phones support fast wireless charging 2.0 (15W) and Wireless PowerShare for reverse wireless charging. Both phones have basic connectivity options like 4G, 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, GPS, NFC and USB Type-C port. The company says that the new Galaxy devices have IP68 rated build for water resistance. The base model has a thickness of 7.3mm and weighs 162 grams, while the Plus model has a thickness of 8.6 mm and weighs 190 grams.
