Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi launched a scathing attack on the PM Developed India Employment Scheme announced on Independence Day by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Describing it as ‘Jumla – Season 2’ of Rs 1 lakh crore, he said that the Prime Minister has no new idea left for the youth.

PM Modi announced- 3.5 crore jobs, budget of 1 lakh crore
Addressing the country from the Red Fort, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the government is starting the PM Developed India Employment Scheme, which aims to create 3.5 crore jobs in the next two years. In his address, PM Modi said that under this scheme, the youth who get the first job in the private sector will get Rs 15,000 and companies providing them will get incentive. The Prime Minister Vikas Bharat Employment Scheme, with a outlay of Rs 99,446 crore, aims to encourage the creation of more than 3.5 crore employment in two years. Of these, 1.92 crore beneficiaries will join the first time. The benefit of this scheme will be applicable to jobs created between August 1, 2025 to July 31, 2027.
