Changes in the rules of league cricket

In this league cricket of South Africa, the rules regarding the auction have been changed. In this league, franchisees can now retain 6 players, who will be retained through pre-sign players. More than three foreign players cannot be included in these six players.

In the South Africa League, only seven foreign players can keep at most seven foreign players in the squad of 18 players. At the same time, a rule has been made to reserve 11 slots in the squad of the team. In this league, six teams will also have a wild card signing option, so that the team can include a South African player or a foreign player as a ‘wild card player’ in the team. The condition will be that the player can be brought into the team within the prescribed fee structure.

RTM card starts

For the first time in the auction of South Africa League cricket, the Right to Match (RTM) card is going to start. In this, the franchise will have a chance to buy the player for the team playing for that team in the last season, so that he can retain the player in this season as well.
