The entire nation is celebrating its 75th Republic Day this time. The chief guest of this ceremony was French President Emmanuel Macron. 26 January is the day when the country adopted the Constitution. Like every time, special preparations were made for this year’s ceremony.

French President Emmanuel Macron was the chief guest for the 75th Republic Day celebrations in Delhi. Earlier on January 25, Macron reached Jaipur. A 95-member marching team and 33-member band contingent of France also participated in the parade. Along with aircraft of the Indian Air Force, a Multi Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) aircraft and two Rafale fighter jets of the French Air Force also took part in the fly-past.
This year around 13 thousand special guests were invited to attend the parade. These are the people who have taken advantage of about 30 important schemes of the government. Apart from this, invitations were also received to experts who had obtained patents, women scientists of ISRO, freedom fighters, farmers and people from the tribal community.

The Republic Day Parade was telecast on Amar Ujala and Amar Ujala’s YouTube channel as well as on Amar Ujala’s Facebook page. This telecast was also seen on national broadcaster Doordarshan. The live telecast started at 09:30 am, an hour before the parade which was to start at 10:30 am.

Parade time and place
The timing of the Republic Day Parade was between 10:30 am to 12 noon. The timing of the parade was from the duty path to the National Stadium in New Delhi (total distance five km).

There is a capacity of 77 thousand seats to watch the parade on the duty path. Of these, 42 thousand seats for the general public are booked through tickets. The price is Rs 500 for reserved seats and Rs 20 for unreserved seats.
