Police and investigative agencies are busy investigating the bomb blast that took place in Delhi’s Red Fort on Monday. Police have traced the route of the I-20 car used in this attack. Delhi Police has traced the 11-hour route of the Hyundai i20 car. This information will help in finding out how the car reached Delhi from Faridabad.

Sources said the car started its journey from Faridabad on Monday morning and passed through several parts of Delhi and reached near the Red Fort metro station at around 6:52 pm on Monday evening. During this time the car passed through many areas of Delhi. According to sources, CCTV footage and data obtained from the toll plaza have helped investigators gather detailed information about the movements of the vehicle. At present, the police is now investigating who was present in the vehicle during this time.

Complete timeline of suspicious movement

Investigation revealed that the car was seen outside Asian Hospital in Faridabad at 7.30 am. After this, at 8.13 pm the car crossed Badarpur toll plaza and entered Delhi. At 8.20 pm, this car was captured in the camera of a petrol pump near Okhla Industrial Area. At 3.19 pm, it entered the parking lot adjacent to the Red Fort complex, where it stood for about three hours.

Focus on 30 minutes before the blast

At 6.22 pm the car left the parking lot and moved towards the Red Fort. According to the police, this 30 minutes is now the most important part of the investigation. At 6:52 pm, there was a massive explosion in the car which completely shattered the vehicle. The blast shattered the glass of nearby buildings and the metro station and created chaos on the spot.

Police investigation continues

Delhi Police is scanning all the CCTV footage of NCR to find out who all came in contact with this car throughout the day. According to another officer, this car had also gone to a petrol pump to get the pollution certificate made so that all the documents could be seen present during the inspection. The police is now trying to reach the bottom of the case by connecting all the sources.
