The festival of Rakshabandhan, which celebrates the sour-sweet relationship of brother and sister, is now coming in a few days. This time this festival is being celebrated on 9 August 2025. On this day, the sister ties a rakhi by tilak to her brother and also feeds sweets. Yes, like every festival, the juice in Rakshabandhan also comes only when different types of sweets are eaten. It would not be wrong to say that this festival of brother and sister is incomplete without sweets. Many sweets are available in the markets, but these days adulteration is also done very much, so why not make everyone’s favorite chocolates at home this time on Rakshabandhan?
This time instead of buying sweets from the market, feed your brother or sister as delicious chocolate sweets made with your own hands. Today we are going to tell you the recipe of famous chef Tarla Dalal’s chocolate brownie and chef Ajay Chopra’s Choco Lava Cake. These easy recipes will make your festival a chocolate.
1. Chocolate brownie
(Recipe by Tarla Dalal)
Ingredients:
Half cup maida
4 tablespoons cocoa powder
2 tablespoons sour curd
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 cup melted butter
5 tablespoons ground sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
1/4 cup thick chopped walnuts
1 tbsp butter for greying
How to make:
1. Sieve the maida and cocoa powder with a sieve and keep it aside.
2. Put curd and baking soda in a bowl and mix well and keep it aside.
3. Add melted butter, ground sugar, vanilla essence and half a cup of warm water in another bowl and beat well.
4. After this, add curd-soda mix and mix well.
5. Now add maida mix and walnuts and mix light hands in it so that the dripping batter dropping comes into consistance and also becomes smooth.
6. Now add baking soda to the baking vessel and grease it. Place a piece of greaseproof paper under the vessel and then greene it using a little butter.
7. Pour the batter into a greased dish, spread it evenly with a spoon and microwave for 4 minutes on high.
8. Allow it to cool slightly and remove it from a plate and remove it from the mold. Remove the greaseproof paper and throw it up and serve hot.
2. Choco Lava Cake
(Chef Ajay Chopra’s recipe)
Ingredients:
1 bowl chocolate
1 bowl butter
3 eggs
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp maida
How to make:
1. Boil water in a pot. Then add 1 bowl of chocolate and 1 bowl of butter in a glass bowl placed on a vessel with boiling water and melt with butter.
2. Whisk 3 eggs in it, add 1 tbsp sugar and whisk again. Now add 1 tbsp maida and whisk again.
3. Apply butter in the oven-proof small bowl and then sprinkle dry flour on top so that the flour is applied from the top.
4. Pour this mix in these small bowls. Fill the mix up to 3/4 part of the bowl.
5. Now keep them in a pre -warmed oven at 180 degrees for 10 minutes. Your hot choco lava cake is ready.
