A loud bang-like sound was heard in many areas of Jodhpur on Tuesday evening, due to which people got scared. The sound was so loud that even the windows of the houses shook and people could not understand what had happened. This voice was heard most in Mandore, Mata Ka Than, Lal Sagar, No Mile, 80 Feet Road, Saran Nagar and Nandadi areas. People were seen coming out of their homes and asking each other where the explosion came from.
Police and administration also unable to know the reason
After the blast, many people tried to get information by calling the police control room, but the police also had no clear answer. Some people described it as the sound of an earthquake, while others expressed the possibility of an explosion. Police and intelligence department officials also started trying to find out the source of this mysterious sound, but no concrete information came to light till late night.
The reason said to be related to Air Force planes
Some local people speculated that this sound might have come due to the sonic boom generated during the flight of Air Force aircraft. Although this has not been officially confirmed. Generally, sonic boom occurs when an aircraft flies at a speed faster than the speed of sound i.e. supersonic speed (about 1225 km per hour). In such a situation, shock-like waves are formed in the air, which create a sound like a bang on the ground.
