Qualcomm launching snapdragon x processor for laptops in India this month

Qualcomm has recently announced its new Snapdragon X chipset that will give power to the upcoming Windows PC. Snapdragon x will be launched on 24 February

Let us tell you that the chip making company is expanding its Snapdragon X lineup with the new Snapdragon X. It is a base model in the series that is already an entry level SOC with popular Snapdragon X Plus and Snapdragon X Elite Processor. With this chipset, Qualcomm’s target is to power the large range of laptops in the market. Snapdragon X was designed to power both budget friendly and mid -range options.

Snapdragon has an official teaser on x Poster Announced that the new Snapdragon X platform for AI PC will be launched in the Indian market on 24 February 2025. The processor was first announced for Windows PCs for laptops of brands like Acer, Asus, HP, Dell and Lenovo, which cost less than $ 600. It is still not clear which laptop model in India will have this new budget AI chipset.

Snapdragon X, based on the previous release, has 8 CPU core working up to 3.0GHz. It has a total memory cash 30 MB and is based on ARM architecture like its other processor. Snapdragon X has an adreno GPU that can reach 1.7 TFLOPS, which is better for light gaming, old games and other general tasks. However, one of its main benefits are different NPUs that provide output of 45 TOPS AI performance, which makes it compatible with Copilot+ features. Therefore, this new chipset can provide new facilities in the budget laptop segment in India.
