Kursk was attacked by Ukraine in August last year. Many areas of Kursk still occupy the Ukrainian Army. Ukrainian President Jailonsky wants to use this land for exchange of Russia in the ceasefire deal.
Ukraine ready for 30 days ceasefire
Putin performed the tour after a meeting of representatives of the US and Ukraine in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday. In this meeting, Ukraine has agreed to the 30 -day ceasefire. America wants to present this plan to Russia. However, Russia had earlier denied any temporary ceasefire.
Putin said that any temporary ceasefire cess Ukraine’s army will benefit. This will help the Ukrainian army lagging behind in the battlefield to increase the number of soldiers and prepare.
Russia has demanded a comprehensive security agreement from Western countries. It also includes a guarantee of not including Ukraine in NATO.
In Dinbar, Putin said that “We need peace but peace of ceasefire. Russia and its citizens need peace with security guarantee. ”
Putin said- Ukrainian soldiers caught from Russian area should be considered terrorist
President Putin should be treated as terrorists under the Russian law with Ukrainian soldiers caught from Kursk and prosecuted them. General Garasimov said that more than 400 Ukrainian soldiers have been caught in the operation.
Putin said that foreign soldiers do not fall under Geneva Convention. Foreign soldiers are also fighting on Ukraine in the war against Russia. This month, Russia caught a 22 -year -old British boy fighting for Ukraine from Kursk. He has been sentenced to 19 years on charges of terrorism.
74 villages in Russia were captured by Ukraine
The Ukrainian army captured 74 villages in Kursk area of Russia in August. Two lakh Russian citizens were forced to flee their homes after a sudden attack by Ukraine.
Ukraine started an attack on the Kursk area of Russia on 6 August. He had captured 1000 sq km area by 13 August.
After this, Russia retaliated and snatched 40% of the area from Ukraine in Kursk and deployed 59 thousand soldiers here.
So far 20% of Ukraine in Russian control
