Punjabi Style Moth Beans Dal Recipe (Matki) By Archana’s Kitchen
  • To begin making the punjabi style moth beans dal recipe, we will soak the moth beans over night and keep it ready.

  • Heat a pressure cooker with oil, add cumin seeds and allow it to crackle. Add ginger and garlic, saute until they turn soft.

  • Add onions and saute well till they turn translucent. Add chopped tomatoes and sprinkle with salt and cook till it turns mushy.

  • Add all the spice powders that are mentioned above and give it a mix. Add soaked moth beans with 2 cups of water and adjust the salt levels.

  • Close it with the Lid and Cook for 4 Whistle and Turn off the Heat. Allow the pressure to release naturally and open the lid.

  • Serve it over a serving bowl and garnish it with green chilli and chopped ginger.
