The accused singer Hasan Khan has been arrested by the police.
Punjabi singer Hasan Manak from Kapurthala district of Punjab has been arrested by the police. Phagwara City Police Station confirmed this and said that the singer is accused of cheating an NRI girl.

He was booked under sections of fraud on May 30, 2025. It is alleged that he has remarried without giving divorce. Also sold her jewelery etc.
Since the case was related to an NRI, the police arrested the singer, while efforts are being made to arrest his father, mother, brother and another accused named in the case.
DSP Bharat Bhushan said that the singer was produced in the court today, from where he has been sent to jail for 14 days judicial custody.

- Allegation of getting married despite already being married: This arrest took place on the complaint of Parvinder Kaur. Parvinder Kaur had complained to the Phagwara City police station a few months ago that the accused won her trust by calling himself a singer and celebrity, whereas he was already married and a case of domestic violence was also pending against him.
- Lakhs of rupees were spent in the name of marriage: According to the victim’s mother, without informing the family, the accused got the entire wedding preparations done at her expense. Around Rs 22-25 lakh was spent including gold and silver jewellery, clothes, expensive gifts and wedding ceremony. All the rituals were completed in a palace located in Banga, but at the same time the police intervened and declared the marriage illegal.
- Fraud case registered: On the basis of this complaint, the police had registered a case against the accused on May 30, 2025 under various sections including fraud. However, the police had not arrested the accused till then. Later, the court also issued an order to add the section of rape against the accused.
