Question: After Bigg Boss, fans were waiting for you for a long time. When you first came to know that you will get the role of Naagin, what were your feelings?
answer: Had very good feelings. It was revealed in Bigg Boss itself, hence there was a lot of excitement. Anyone feels happy if they get a big show like Naagin. I myself was waiting eagerly, and now here I am, your serpent. The journey from Bigg Boss to Naagin was very exciting.
Question: Naagin was also launched on the same platform, Bigg Boss, where the show was found. Ekta Kapoor announced in front of Salman Khan that she is going to become a Naagin. How did you feel at that time?
answer: Sharing the stage with Salman sir is a big thing in itself. After 2-4 years of first seeing me in Bigg Boss, I went to promote Naagin on the same show where I got the offer. Bigg Boss, Salman sir and Ekta ma’am have a big hand.
It was a big thing to get praise from Salman sir, he wanted to appreciate me. Millions of people come to have a look at him, and he appreciated me. Ekta ma’am launched there as Naagin, it was a top level feeling.
Question: We all were able to feel the happiness and pride that was visible in Salman sir’s eyes for you when you came on stage. Did you have any conversation with him?
Answer: No, because he was hosting at that time. We couldn’t talk, but he definitely appreciated me. Well, he is always happy. He is so happy for all the contestants of Bigg Boss because he watches the show and spends a lot of time with them. Unlike the common man, we also become close to them.
That’s why they feel good when one of their contestants does well. He was really happy, and I loved that happiness too.
Question: Your fans were waiting a lot. He must be feeling sad as to why it is taking so much time. To you dms So you must be coming? What answers did you give and what kind of questions came?
answer: Yes, I used to say that if I find a snake, I will definitely do it. Till then it was not known who would come. The call didn’t come, that’s all we talked about. After that they were planning what to do when.
During that time fans used to ask who is in Naagin? I said, ‘Yes, I will do it. Why would I refuse?’ But to be honest, I am not able to reply. So many messages come that they get lost. I will be very active on Instagram for two days, then I will keep it aside for five days.
But yes, people were very happy. My old friends, family, everyone has a different craze for Naagin. It is a craze in every household. Naagin’s fans had already added me to their fan groups. He used to make my edits, I used to enjoy. Would have said wow after seeing the beautiful edits made by him. So it is like that.
Question: It was mentioned in Bigg Boss show, but when did you get the confirmation for the first time? And when you found it, who did you tell first?
answer: The first confirmation came when the call came. Everything was very easy because Ekta Ma’am was clear that she wanted me to become a Naagin, and I was also ready. So yes, that’s it. I first told my father and younger brother Yuvesh. Papa is a proud father, he immediately informed the family.
Every parent is proud of their child, right? The call came at home itself, everyone was very happy.
Question: What brief did the queen of TV (Ekta Kapoor) give to TV’s Naagin for your show? What kind of character to play?
answer: Ekta ma’am explained in complete detail. Everyone knows the story of Naagin, but this time there is a new twist in it. A little AI is being mixed, heavy VFX is being used. Not just personal drama or revenge, but a bigger scale. Story of the serpent who saved the country. This is a legacy show, and ma’am said this role is perfect for you.
Question: Your look is amazing. That ‘two in one’ look, which went so viral in ‘Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin’ many years ago, was rarely seen after that. What would you like to say?
answer: I love experiment. Got a good opportunity in Naagin and worked with a great team. I never refuse any character, I am ready to do whatever the demand is. I enjoy new experiences. There are many layers in Naagin, the best part is to put so many shades in one character.
Question: How much time does it take you to prepare for the role?
answer: Initially, when we were designing the look, it was thought that it would take two-two and a half hours. How the makeup should be, what will look good, what not, all this is planned. I tried to bring a little serpentine feel from my side, as if after working out, the serpent appeared to be coming. But this character is so challenging that no matter how much preparation you do, it takes less time to go on the set.
Focus on what they are teaching and explaining there, be present and give your best.
Question: You had an amazing journey. Reached the biggest show on TV with small steps. How will you define your journey?
answer: Honestly, when you ask this question I go into flashbacks. I never thought that I would do the number one show. Don’t worry about what happens next, keep working on yourself and be ready for every opportunity. Whatever work he got, he gave his best in it.
Tried her best in every character and kept moving forward with this intention. Don’t waste the waiting period, use it to improve yourself. So that when the opportunity comes, you can say ‘Yes, I am ready’. Just keep working, give 100 percent, and things will happen.
Question: You must have received a lot of compliments. Any compliment that sticks in your mind? About Naagin, about your career, who is close to your heart, who motivates you?
answer: I don’t know, but it felt great to hear that people said ‘You are the perfect choice for Naagin’. Meaning, there is definitely something special about me, and now I feel more responsible. Hopefully I will be able to play my character with complete honesty.
Everything was good till season 6, may season 7 be even more superhit. May this legacy of ours always climb to greater heights. That’s all I can say to all my viewers.
Question: Your co-star Esha Singh praises you a lot, what would you say?
answer: She herself is such an amazing person. Our connection was established on the third day. First day, then a gap of one day and third day. On the third day I asked something and we both started talking a lot. That’s where our friendship started. Now we communicate through our eyes only.
We understand each other so well. It’s a beautiful relationship, I cherish it very much. I like Isha very much, I love her very much.
