Bollywood actor Prem Chopra has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai on Saturday. However, the family has said that there is no need to panic.

Speaking to India Today, his son-in-law Vikas Bhalla said that Prem Chopra has been admitted only as a precautionary measure. “These are all age-related diseases and are a routine process. There is nothing to worry about,” he said.

Bhalla also told that the actor will be discharged from the hospital in a few days.

Doctor gave health update According to the IANS report, the actor has been admitted to the hospital due to heart problem along with viral and lung infection. Dr Jalil Parker of Lilavati Hospital said that Prem Chopra was admitted two days ago under the supervision of his family cardiologist Dr Nitin Gokhale.

Dr. Jalil Parker is a renowned pulmonary and chest specialist at Lilavati Hospital and Research Centre, Mumbai.

Dr. Parker said that the actor is suffering from both heart disease and viral infection. He clarified that Prem Chopra is not in ICU and his condition is stable. Dr. Parker said, “These are age-related health problems, so recovery is taking some time. But his health is fine and he will be discharged in two-three days.”

Prem Chopra’s first film was Mud-Mud Ke Na Dekh (1960).
