Before Mauni Amavasya, a crowd of devotees is gathering in the ongoing Mahakumbh in Prayagraj. A flood of devotees have already started coming to Prayagraj to take a holy dip in Triveni Sangam on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya on 29 January. Officials said that as Amavasya is approaching, the crowd of pilgrims has increased in the city.
People from all over the country and abroad are coming to Prayagraj to take a dip in the Sangam. Because of which the city’s railway stations, bus stops and highways are filled with pilgrims. Officials said that more than 1.25 crore devotees took bath in Triveni Sangam on Friday and Saturday. According to officials, around 10 crore devotees are expected to take a dip in the Sangam on Mauni Amavasya.
Extensive arrangements have been made by the administration
The fair administration and police have made extensive preparations to ensure that the devotees coming to Prayagraj do not have to face any kind of problem. To maintain order in Mahakumbh, the fair area has been declared a no-vehicle zone. Also, special arrangements have been made in all sectors and zones to facilitate the movement of devotees.

All the parking areas have been activated and basic facilities are being taken care of for the devotees. A statement issued said that the vehicles will first be sent to the nearest parking areas. Once the parking there is full, vehicles will be sent to alternative parking areas.
Special protocol will not apply
Giving information about Mahakumbh preparations, officials said that in order to give priority to public convenience, no special protocol will be implemented during ‘Amrit Snan’. The administration has also activated The Integrated Control and Command Center to maintain order.

Two thousand signage boards have been installed
More than two thousand new signages have been installed in the Mahakumbh area to guide the devotees in the right direction. Also, devotees are being encouraged to download the official chatbot of the fair, which will help in making their visit more convenient.
