Pastor Bajinder Singh, accused of raping a woman from Zirakpur in Mohali, Punjab, has been sentenced to life imprisonment by the court of Mohali. The police took the pastor into custody after being convicted by the court. He is lodged in Patiala Jail.

Pastor Bajinder Singh, named in the case of rape of the woman, appeared in court on Monday. The court reserved the verdict after that day’s appearance. His lawyer HS Dhanoa filed a petition against the pastor in the court and told the court that Pastor Bajinder Singh was admitted to the hospital on 3 March. Due to which he could not appear in the court and filed a petition in the court for exemption from appearance on his behalf. On the other hand, after hearing the arguments of the government lawyer and defense, the court had fixed the date of March 24 for the next hearing of the case by canceling Bajinder Singh’s non -bailable warrant.
Pastor has been arrested earlier in the case
The police arrested Paster Bajinder Singh when he arrived at Delhi Airport to take a flight to attend a seminar being conducted in Barlingham city of England. A video of Pastor Bajinder Singh also became increasingly viral on social media, in which he is assaulting the woman. The video was on 14 February, which went viral on 16 March, in which the woman was seen slapping the pastor. In this video, the pastor was thrown a copy on the woman’s mouth sitting with the child. This woman used to work near the pastor.
