Chances of uproar on SIR issue
These days, the process of intensive revision of voter lists is going on in 12 states of the country. In many states, opposition parties are opposing this exercise of the Election Commission. In recent times, there have been reports of many BLOs committing suicide due to work pressure. There is a lot of commotion regarding this also. In such a situation, there is a possibility of uproar in the winter session of Parliament also regarding the suicide case of SIR and BLO.

Parliament Winter Session LIVE: Winter session will start from today, government will present bill for cess on cigarette-gutkha.
On the first day on Monday, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Central Excise Amendment Bill 2025 in the Lok Sabha. Through this bill, the government will make some changes in the Central Excise Act 1944. The government will also introduce the Health Security to National Security Bill 2025 to impose cess on products like Pan Masala, Gutkha. An amendment to the Central Excise Act will be introduced to impose cess on cigarettes.
