Afghanistan has repeatedly rejected Pakistan’s request for a high-level delegation to visit Kabul. In the last three days, Pakistan Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, ISI chief Asim Malik and two other senior generals had sent three separate visa requests, but Kabul refused each time.

The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) cited Pakistan’s recent violation of Afghan airspace and air strikes on civilian areas in Paktika province as the main reasons behind the decision. Afghan officials said that no Pakistani delegation can be allowed to come to Kabul when their citizens are under attack.

According to sources, only these four members had applied for the visa. However, Afghanistan continuously refused and gave a clear message that Afghanistan will not negotiate on Pakistan’s terms.
