Imran’s sister Noreen, while talking to the Indian media on November 28, had called Asim Munir a dictator.
Pakistan’s Information Minister Ataullah Tarar has expressed displeasure over the interviews given by Imran Khan’s sister Noreen Khan Niazi to the Indian media. Tarar said that Noreen has tarnished the image of Pakistan and those who speak ill of the country should be ashamed.
He said that Noreen did not say anything on any issue related to India like Kashmir or the condition of Muslims in India. Tarar also asked why Noreen did not go on an Indian channel and speak ill of the Modi government.
Recently, while talking to news agency ANI, Noreen had called Pakistani Army Chief Asim Munir a dictator. He had said that Trump had called our country’s dictator Asim Munir his very good friend. Asim Munir is a big force now. However, dictators have come to Pakistan before and their outcome was not good.
Tarar said- Imran’s family is giving statements against the country
According to Tarar, Noreen only said in the interview that Imran is a prisoner in a corruption case and he is being mistreated in jail, whereas she was expected to talk about Pakistan’s issues.
He also alleged that Imran Khan’s family and his party give statements against Pakistan. Tarar says that the Indian media is deliberately giving platform to Imran’s family so that the image of Pakistan is tarnished.
Tarar also claimed that all three of Imran’s sisters were involved in the violence that followed Imran’s first arrest on 9 May 2023. She says that she had gone to the Corps Commander’s house and is also seen in the video. According to him this is also a proof.
Ataullah Tarar alleged that Indian media is giving platform to Imran’s sisters to tarnish the image of Pakistan.
Asked- What was the need to go to Indian media?
Tarar asked Noreen why she needed to go to an Indian TV channel and complain. According to him, Noreen gave the interview to the Indian media to divert people’s attention from the achievements of the government.
This controversy has come to light at a time when Imran Khan’s relatives and party leaders allege that Imran, who is lodged in Adiala jail, is not being allowed to meet him. Last week his three sisters sat on the road outside the jail. He said that he was being prevented from meeting again and again.
Last week, several women from Imran’s party PTI, including his sisters Alima, Uzma and Noreen, sat peacefully outside the jail. The party claims that the police took them by force.
Imran Khan in jail, rumor of death outside
Rumors have intensified on social media regarding the death of Imran Khan. Some media reports are claiming that his health is not well.
Imran’s sisters have been trying to meet him for the last 3 weeks, but the jail administration is not allowing it. Due to this, speculations are being made about Imran’s ill health.
Imran’s sisters have demanded the government to tell the truth. After increasing tension, the jail administration has said that Imran Khan’s health is absolutely fine.
Imran’s party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has also sought clarification from the government regarding recent rumors regarding Imran’s health. Also demanded from the administration to arrange a meeting between the former Prime Minister and his family.

Imran Khan has been in jail for more than 2 years
More than 100 cases are pending against Imran Khan and he is in jail since August 2023. He has been sentenced to 14 years in prison in a corruption case, which includes charges like selling government gifts (Toshakhana case) and leaking government secrets.
Imran is accused of selling Pakistan government’s land worth billions of rupees cheaply to Al-Qadir Trust. Imran was arrested in this case on 9 May 2023. After this, many important army bases were attacked across the country.
Pakistan’s National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had booked Imran Khan, his wife Bushra Bibi and 6 other persons in December 2023 in the Al-Qadir Trust case. However, before this case was registered against Imran, he was already lodged in Adiala jail in the Toshakhana case.
