Pakistan has been shocked by India’s action to expel a Pakistani officer working in Pakistan High Commission for alleged involvement in espionage. Pakistan also declared an official of the Indian High Commission in Islamabad as ‘Persona Non Grata’ (unwanted person) in Islamabad. Pakistan alleges that the concerned officer was working against his diplomatic responsibilities. The concerned officer has been instructed to leave Pakistan in 24 hours.

A statement has been issued by Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry, stating, ‘The Government of Pakistan has declared an official of the Indian High Commission in Islamabad as’ unwanted person’ to be involved in ‘inconsistent’ activities with its privileged position. The statement further stated that the Indian in -charge was called to the Ministry of External Affairs on Tuesday. During this time he was informed about this decision of the Pakistani government.

India also expelled Pakistani officer
Earlier, the Government of India declared a Pakistani officer working in the High Commission of Pakistan in New Delhi as ‘Persona Non Grata’ (unwanted person). India had expelled the Pakistani officer for allegedly involvement in espionage. The Ministry of External Affairs (Mea) said that the officer was not involved in activities in India as per its official status. The concerned officer has been given 24 hours to leave the country.
Both countries came face to face after the Pahalgam attack
There has been tension between the two countries since the terrorist attack on 22 April in Pahalgam in South Kashmir. 26 people were brutally murdered in this attack. Which included most of the tourists. After this, India recently started ‘Operation Sindoor’ to target terrorist bases in Pakistan. According to Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, more than a hundred terrorists were killed in Pakistan under this mission. The Indian armed forces demolished many terrorists and military bases from Pakistan. Not only this, Pakistan’s military action could not be stopped by Pakistan’s air defense system and was destroyed.

Pakistan begged for ceasefire from India’s military action
Pakistan also tried to attack with missiles and firing, but the air defense system like S-400 and Akash of India thwarted most into the air. The ceasefire was later requested by Pakistan. After which both countries agreed to the ceasefire. This was followed by DGMO level talks between the two countries. In which it was agreed to stop the border firing and military aggression.
