Padma Shri Award 2025: President Draupadi Murmu has announced the country’s highest honor Padma Awards for 2025. This year a total of 139 people will receive this honour. These include 7 Padma Vibhushan, 19 Padma Bhushan and 113 Padma Shri. Five personalities from Maharashtra will also be honored with the Padma Award. Of these, three will be honored with Padma Bhushan and two with Padmashree. Two of these people will be given this award posthumously.
These awards are given for outstanding contributions in many fields like arts, social service, public life, science, industry, medicine, literature, education, sports and civil service. Among the recipients of the country’s highest honour, former Chief Minister Manohar Joshi, senior singer Pankaj Udhas and Shekhar Kapoor have been announced to be honored with Padma Bhushan.
Two people will get Padmashree
Whereas, it has been announced to give Padma Shri to Marathi writer Maruti Bhujangrao Chitampalli and Dr. Vilas Dangre, who served millions of needy people through homeopathy. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has congratulated and congratulated the Padma awardees. He wrote on his X handle, “I salute former Lok Sabha Speaker and former Chief Minister Manohar Joshi and senior singer Pankaj Udhas.”
