In T20 cricket, powerplay overs (first 6 overs) are often bowled by fast bowlers. Then comes the turn of the spinners. But what if we tell you that all 20 overs in the match were bowled by spinners and the team created a world record by winning the match.
This miracle happened in the 2025 SA20 being played these days. Joe Root’s team Paarl Royals did this feat in the tournament, in which former Indian batsman Dinesh Karthik is also a part. The 20th match of the tournament was played between Paarl Royals and Pretoria Capitals. In the match, the spinners bowled the entire 20 overs for Paarl Royals. By doing this amazingly, the team registered victory and also set a world record.
In the T20 Franchise League, Paarl Royals has become the first team for which all 20 overs were bowled by spinners. Five spinners bowled 4-4 overs for the team, which also included Joe Root. Root also completed the quota of 4 overs.

For Paarl Royals, Bjorn Fortuin, Dunith Vellalaghe, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Nakabayomji Peter and Joe Root bowled 4 overs each. During this, Fortuin, Mujeeb and Root took 2 wickets each. Apart from this Vellalage got 1 success. Vellalagya spent the least 16 runs in 4 overs.

condition of competition
In the match, Pretoria Capitals won the toss and decided to bowl. Coming to bat first, Paarl Royals put 140/4 runs on the board in 20 overs. Joe Root played the biggest innings for the team and scored 78 runs in 56 balls with the help of 8 fours and 2 sixes.
Then Pretoria Capitals, who came on the field for run chase, could reach only 129/7 runs in 20 overs. Will Jacques, who opened for the team, scored 56 runs in 53 balls with the help of 2 fours and 2 sixes, but his innings could not help the team cross the victory line.
