Finding of Army and SDRF

A military official said, people have been advised to stay away from the disaster-affected Dharali region at the moment. At the same time, SDRF officials have informed that a team of 50 soldiers is engaged in relief and rescue work. They have essential tools such as cameras, cutting tools and rotary hammers finding victims. According to officials, apart from Dharali, another cloudburst has also occurred near the army camp in Harshil.

The videos that have gone viral on social media are showing 5 to 10 meters high waves, which are hitting houses, hotels and shops with debris. Many buildings become frozen in the blink of an eye. Many hotels and houses were completely engulfed in the debris, only red and green tin roofs of some hotels are seen. This devastation of Dharali has become a part of the long history of Uttarkashi district in which natural disasters have shocked life from time to time.
