US President Trump said, “The good news for companies like Apple is that if you are constructing in the US or committed to construction in the US without any question, there will be no duty.” 100 percent tariffs will apply to all imported semiconductors and chips, which will affect major suppliers in Taiwan, South Korea and Singapore.

Apple’s contribution to American chip construction
