The deceased of Odisha have been identified as R Jaganmohan, resident of Chhatur in Ganjam district, Lagnjit Duari, resident of Tigiria in Cuttack district, Manoj Raut, resident of Simulia in Balasor district and Dolgovind Sahu, resident of Dharamshala in Jajpur district.
The injured include Sameer Padhi of Ganjam district, Chandan Kumar Nayak of Bhadrak, Nilambar Bhadra and Chitrasen Batra of Nabrangpur. The state government has formed a team to investigate the incident. The committee will be chaired by Dr. B Venkateswara Rao, an Emeritus scientist at the CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology. The team has to submit a detailed report with specific suggestions and recommendations to the government within a month.
