How does this device work?

This device is worn in an electro -e.g. (EEG) cap that captures the brain’s electrical activity through the sensors. The information is sent to a monitoring unit, where deep learning -based AI decoder converts brain signals into words. After this, a large language language model further refines that text and corrects possible mistakes. Finally, the correct words appear on the screen.

In the initial stage

The development of this technology is in the initial stage. In this, training has been done on a limited set of only a few words and sentences, so that it is easy to identify every word. Currently, this device has been successful in identifying the correct word in about 75% of cases and scientists are trying to take its accuracy up to 90%.

What is a brain-computer interface (BCI)?

Brain-computer interface (BCI) is not a new concept. Many such techniques are being developed which connect the human brain directly to machines. For example, Alan Musk’s neuralink device enables people to control computers or mobiles only by thinking of chip by surgery in the head.
