The voting process of elderly and disabled voters has started from Friday for the Delhi Assembly elections, a day before Voters’ Day. Delhi has 1,09,064 and 79,088 disabled voters in Delhi. Of these, 6396 elderly and 1046 disabled voters have opted to vote from home. By February 4, different teams will go to the eligible voters’ house and vote.

This will strengthen democracy. The initiative to vote at home by the Election Commission is good. Due to this, those who are unable to walk are also ensuring their role in democracy.

West Delhi has the most elderly

According to the data received from the office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Delhi Revenue Department has the highest number of elders in the western district. The number of elderly voters more than 85 years here is 14772. All of these voters were given Form 12D to vote at home. Out of this, 1050 voters have filled the form of voting from home. On the other hand, the number of elderly voters over 85 years in North East Delhi is 5593. Here the lowest 65 voters will vote in the house. At the same time, out of 79088 disabled voters, 1046 voters have opted to vote from home. It has the highest number of 243 voters in the southwest district. The South Eastern district consists of the lowest 57 voters.
