This mission was first to be launched on 29 May. It was later adjourned to 8 June, 10 June and then 11 June.
Indian Gaganayatri Shubhanshu Shukla has been postponed for the fifth time to take the International Space Station ie ISS. It was to be launched on 22 June, but was postponed due to security check on ISS. Earlier, this mission was to be launched on June 11 at 5.30 pm Indian time. However, it was postponed due to oxygen leaks in propulsion bay.
Four Astronauts from four countries in the Axium Mission 4 (AX-4) are going to visit the space station for 14 days. Shubhanshu will be the first Indian to go to ISS and in space. Earlier, Rakesh Sharma traveled space in 1984 with a spacecraft of the Soviet Union.
The rear of the Zvezda service module has been repaired
NASA reported that the recent repair work in the rear of the ISS Zvezda service module requires more time for reviewing and safety checks. Many systems of the space station are connected, due to this, it is necessary for the new team to be fully prepared.
Shubhanshu Shukla had a full dress rehearsal on 8 June before going to ISS. In this, the process of seating from the assembly building to the rocket was followed.
Acium-4 mission postponed for the fifth time
- On May 29, the launch was postponed due to the dragon spacecraft not being ready.
- It was scheduled on 8 June. Due to bad weather, it was postponed again.
- The new date was given June 10. Again it was postponed due to bad weather.
- The mission was scheduled on 11 June. Then it was postponed due to oxygen leaks.
- The new date was given 22 June. Then it was postponed citing security check.
SpaceX said- to fix oxygen leaks and need time
The AX-4 launch has been postponed. SpaceX teams need more time to fix the Lox leaks found in the booster after the static fire test. After the completion of the repair and when the range is available, we will tell the new launch date.

Shubhanshu had to reach the space station at 10 pm on June 12
If the four Astronauts including Shubhanshu had left today, they would have reached ISS on June 12 at 10 pm. He was to return to Earth around 25–26 June. The brand new dragon spacecraft is being used in this mission.

The main objective of the AX-4 mission is to do research in space and test new technology. This mission is also for promoting private space travel and is part of Exium Space Planning, which plans to build a commercial space station (Exium station) in the future.

Question 1: Who is Shubhanshu Shukla?
answer: Shubhanshu was born in 1986 in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. He did his studies from the National Defense Academy (NDA). He joined the Air Force in 2006 and has experience of flying fighter jets.
He has also been selected for ISRO’s Gaganyaan Mission, which is India’s first human space mission. He took special training in Russia and America to become an astronaut. In this, he learned to work in microgravity, emergency handling, and scientific experiments.
Question 2: What will Shubhanshu do on ISS?
answer: Shubhanshu will stay there for 14 days and do 7 experiments, which have been prepared by Indian educational institutions. Most of them will be biological studies, such as seeing the impact on human health and organisms in space.
In addition, they will experiment 5 more with NASA, which will collect data for long space missions. The experiments conducted in this mission will strengthen India’s Gaganyaan Mission.
Question 3: How much has India cost in this mission?
answer: India has spent around 548 crore rupees on this mission so far. It also includes the training of Shubhanshu and his backup group Captain Prashant Nair. These money are engaged in training, equipment, and international partnership.

Shubhanshu has trained with space angels like NASA, ESA, and Jaxa.
Shubhanshu has also been selected for ISRO’s Gaganyaan Mission, which is India’s first human space mission.
Question 4: How important is this mission for India?
answer: This experience of Shubhanshu will be very helpful for the Gaganyaan Mission (planned in 2027). The data and experience they bring will carry forward India’s space program. After returning on June 24-25, he will share the results of his experiments.

answer: Yes, Exium Mission 4 is a private space flight mission. This is happening in American private space company Aceum Space and NASA’s collabobation. This is the fourth mission of Exium Space.
