Preparations for Simhastha to be held in the religious city of Ujjain in the year 2028 have already been started. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has said that Simhastha Mahakumbh is a social gathering, it decides the direction of the society. Earlier people used to go to the Kumbh Mela following the direction decided and work for change in the society. Traditions have changed with time, but we have to understand the importance of our roots and values. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also believes that Kumbh is not just a fair but a good example of excellent management giving innovation, education and message of traditions to the world. The world should adopt this as a case study.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, the state government is busy in preparations for Simhastha Mahakumbh 2028. In which development and infrastructure works have been started. Chief Minister Yadav has resolved that in Simhastha-2028, the devotees should take bath in the pure water of Kshipra river and by ensuring the flow of clean and pure water in Kshipra river forever, it should be made a virtuous and eternal life in the true sense.

To fulfill the resolution, Sewarkhedi-Silarkhedi, Kanh Close Duct and Hariyakhedi projects have been started in Ujjain and stop dams along with 18 barrages are being constructed. With this, clean water will flow in the Kshipra river throughout the year, and Ujjain will also be able to get pure and abundant water. Chief Minister Yadav also wants to establish Ujjain as a major global religious tourism destination by successfully organizing Simhastha Kumbh.
