Mohammed Shami again wreaked havoc, batsman collapsed in front of flaming balls in T20 match

Mohammed Shami has not been selected in the Indian squad for the South Africa T20 series. He was last seen playing a match for Team India in the Champions Trophy 2025. After that, Team India played Tests, ODIs and T20s, but Shami kept dropping from the squad. Amidst all this, Shami has created a stir in Indian domestic cricket. Now he has created a stir in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy with his havoc-wreaking balls.

On Thursday, there was a match between Bengal and Services in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T20 tournament, which Bengal easily won by 7 wickets. Shami bowled a lethal spell and took a total of 3 wickets.

Mohammed Shami’s havoc

In this match, Services team was all out for 165 runs while playing first. The biggest role in destroying the services was played by Mohammed Shami, who gave only 13 runs in 3.2 overs and dismissed four batsmen. Shami’s havoc was so severe on the services that he dismissed Gaurav Khochar on the very first ball of the match.

This was Bengal’s fourth win in 5 matches in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. With this victory, Bengal team has come on top in the points table of its group. Abhimanyu Easwaran is captaining the Bengal team in this T20 tournament.

This brilliant performance of Mohammed Shami has come at a time when the Indian pace attack has been exposed in the ODI series against South Africa. In the second ODI, Prasidh Krishna definitely took 2 wickets but gave away 85 runs. As a result, Team India lost the second ODI match even after scoring 358 runs. Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh has also raised questions as to why there is no experienced fast bowler in the squad for the ODI series against South Africa.
