The Ministry of Defense has approved the defense purchase of Rs 2000 crore to increase the Indian Army’s anti -terrorism capabilities. This defense procurement is being done under the emergency acquisition system. 13 contracts have been approved under this defense procurement. In which modern weapons and equipment will be purchased for security forces, which will increase the capabilities of our security forces against terrorism.

The total cost of this defense procurement will be 1981.90 crores. In which Integrated Drone Detection and International System will be procured for the Indian Army. Also, low level light weight radar, very low range air defense systems such as launchers and missiles etc. will be purchased. The Ministry of Defense will buy remote piulated aerial vehicles, many types of drones, ballistic helmets, heavy and medium range quick reaction fighter vehicles and night visions for rifles for anti -terrorism operations of the Army.

Defense Minister will raise the issue of terrorism at SCO conference
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will participate in the SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization) in Kingdao, China from Wednesday. Rajnath Singh will raise the issue of terrorism in this conference. This is the first visit to a top Indian leader after the struggle in Eastern Ladakh in May 2020. At the SCO conference, the Defense Minister can also advocate business, economic cooperation and increase in connectivity among SCO member countries. The Defense Minister may have bilateral meetings with the defense ministers of several member countries in China. These include the Defense Minister of China and Russia.
