Karnataka and Tamil Nadu have been rained as rain in the last two days. At least eight people died in various rain -related incidents. Officials said that it also includes three deaths in Bangalore. He said that Bangalore has been receiving heavy rains since Sunday, due to which many parts of the city have been submerged and life has been disturbed.

According to the police, three people, including a boy, were killed when a wall collapsed due to heavy rains in Madurai, Tamil Nadu on Monday. On the other hand, two people, including a 12 -year -old child, died of current while trying to drain rain water entered an apartment in Bangalore, Karnataka.

A person was hit by a short circuit, the child also got caught
According to the Meko Layout police, Manmohan Kamath (63), a resident of Madhuvan apartment in NS PALA near BTM Second Stage, tried to use the motor pump to drain water from his house on Monday evening. When he connected the pump to the socket, there was a short circuit, which made him current. Police said that Dinesh (12), son of a Nepali man working in the apartment premises, was also hit by lightning, who was standing near Kamath. Doctors at the hospital declared both dead.
Three people died due to wall collapse in Madurai
Earlier on Monday, a wall collapsed within the boundary of Mahadevpura police station. Sasikala (35), who was sweeping in the accident, died. In addition, two people died due to lightning in Raichur and Karwar. Police said in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, a 65 -year -old woman, her 10 -year -old grandson and a neighbor, collapsed when he was talking. All three died in the accident. The incident occurred in Valayanakulam near Thirupapranakundram. The area was receiving heavy rains since last night. The Perungudi police is investigating the case.

28 more people died due to lightning in Marathwada in 2024
In 2023, 48 people died due to lightning in 2023 in all eight districts of Marathwada region of Maharashtra. This number has increased to 76 in 2024. 28 more people died due to lightning in 2024 compared to 2023. According to an official report, the total number of deaths caused by floods and other monsoon disasters also increased by 47 to 126 in 2024. In 2024, the maximum number of 15 deaths were recorded in Latur district due to lightning. This was followed by three deaths in Jalna (12), Beed (11), Parbhani and Nanded (10–10), Dharashiv (4) and Hingoli.
