Eaton fire spread across 2227 acres of land
He said that the Eaton fire in Altadena, California has burnt 2,227 acres of land. He said that the fire has not been controlled yet. Meanwhile, the Hearst fire broke out and spread northeast of San Fernando, California, burning at least 500 acres.
Nearly 2.5 lakh people did not get electricity supply
According to media reports, at least 245,000 people in Los Angeles County were without power supply by morning. Authorities have appealed to people to follow evacuation orders to keep themselves and rescue workers safe as the fire continues to grow.
Emergency shelters were prepared
The National Weather Service said strong winds Wednesday morning could worsen conditions. The Los Angeles Unified School District says students are being temporarily relocated from three campuses in the Pacific Palisades area due to the fire. Rescue teams are working day and night to take people to safe places. Local schools, community centers, and other safe locations have been prepared as emergency shelters. President Joe Biden has canceled a trip to Riverside County, California due to bad weather.
