Lashkar-e-Taiba, a terrorist organization present in Pakistan, has welcomed the growing diplomatic and military relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh. Regarding this, the Deputy Chief Saifullah Kasuri has issued a statement. He has congratulated the increased closeness between Dhaka and Islamabad. Kasuri congratulated on the growing relations between Islamabad and Dhaka. Also, it has been described as a commendable and praiseworthy step towards starting business between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
According to CNN-News18 report, Kasuri’s support is strategically important. Its message presented the association of Pakistan and Bangladesh as a positive realignment for the Muslim world. This reflects LeT’s long-running ideological narrative of opposition to India.
Terrorist groups are keeping a close watch
If sources are to be believed, Pakistan’s terrorist groups are seeing regional diplomatic opportunities as operational opportunities. This is being done to expand Jihadi influence in South Asia. There are believed to be deep logistical, recruitment and ideological networks throughout the region. Bangladesh has in the past also been involved in terrorist funding and transit investigations linked to Pakistan extremist groups. This has increased the existing concerns.
Jihadi groups keeping a close eye on regional political developments
This shows how Jihadi groups closely monitor regional political developments. In Pakistan they try to influence governments and military establishments and in some cases dictate terms.
Recently Kasuri has openly boasted that the army invites him to the funerals of its soldiers. He also claimed that India was afraid of his presence. He had said that Pakistan Army calls me to offer namaz at the funeral. Do you know, India is afraid of me?
