The name of another Kashmiri doctor has come to light in the investigation of the blast that took place near Red Fort in Delhi. Dr Nisar-ul-Hassan, who was earlier dismissed for his involvement in anti-national activities, is now missing after the blast.
Nisar-ul-Hassan was working as a professor in the Department of Medicine at Al-Falah University, Faridabad. This is the same university which is already under the ambit of Delhi blast investigation. The investigating agencies are now busy finding out whether some people associated with the university were in contact with the terrorist network.
Doctor missing after the blast
Dr. Nisar-ul-Hassan was dismissed from service by the Jammu and Kashmir administration in November 2023 under Article 311(2)(c). This provision allows the dismissal of a government employee without departmental inquiry in matters related to the security of the state. At that time he was an Assistant Professor at Shri Maharaja Hari Singh (SMHS) Hospital, Srinagar.
It was written in the order of dismissal that Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha was satisfied that the activities of Dr. Nisar were against the security of the state and investigation was not appropriate in the interest of the state.
Many people died and more than two dozen were injured in the explosion near Red Fort metro station. Investigative agencies believe that this conspiracy may be related to Pakistan-based terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). In this plan many important places of Delhi were to be targeted.
