Kashi Tamil Sangamam 4.0 will be inaugurated on Tuesday at 4 pm at Namo Ghat. Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Puducherry Lieutenant Governor K. Kailashnathan will inaugurate it. More than 1400 delegates from Tamil Nadu are reaching Kashi in this event based on the theme of Tamil Karakalam i.e. Learn Tamil. Traditional artists of Kashi and Tamil Nadu will present a wonderful confluence of Indian culture by giving a joint performance.
The first train of guests from Tamil Nadu reached Banaras station late on Monday night. Here the public representatives and officers welcomed everyone. Commissioner S Rajalingam said that the Kashi Tamil Sangam program will continue in two phases till December 31. The first phase will be held in Kashi from 2 to 15 December and the second phase will be held in Chennai from 16 to 31 December.
This time the event is being organized on the theme Let’s Learn Tamil. Under this, Tamil will be taught to 15 thousand children of 650 schools with the help of Vidya Shakti portal of IIT Madras. 50 teachers will come to Kashi from Tamil Nadu who will introduce Tamil language and culture in the schools here and will be responsible for teaching Tamil to the students.
During the inauguration of the program on Tuesday, Cabinet Minister Anil Rajbhar, Minister of State Dr. Dayashankar Dayalu, IIT Madras Director Prof. V Kamakoti, BHU Vice Chancellor Prof. Ajit Kumar Chaturvedi, Education Ministry Secretary Dr. Vineet Joshi and others will be present. Bharatnatyam and Tamil dance will also be presented during this period.
