According to this, BJP may get a majority on its own in Karnataka for the first time and is likely to get 136 to 159 seats, while the Congress can get 62 to 82 seats and its vote percentage can be reduced to 40.3%. It was 42.88% in the year 2023. The survey has revealed that the Congress is facing an anti -government wave.
JDS likely to get only 3 to 6 seats
JDS is likely to get only 3 to 6 seats and its vote share can also be reduced to 5 percent. It was 18.3 percent in the year 2023. It is indicating a direct contest between BJP and Congress in state politics.
BJP has become the largest party three times
The Bharatiya Janata Party has been playing an important role in the politics of Karnataka for the last 20 years and has become the largest party three times (2004, 2008, 2018), but so far the party has not been able to touch the magic figures of majority (113 out of 224 seats) on its own.
Siddaramaiah most popular Chief Minister candidate
According to the survey, CM Siddaramaiah is the most popular chief ministerial candidate among all parties. 29.2 percent of the voters liked him. After him, Deputy CM DK. Shivkumar got 10.7 percent votes.
How much support to which BJP leader?
No BJP leader got support in double digits. BS Yeddyurappa got 5.5 percent, Basavaraj Bommai 3.6 percent and B.Y. Vijayendra received 5.2 percent support. However, 16.9 percent of the people chose the ‘any BJP candidate’ option.
Mixed opinion on the functioning of Congress government
The functioning of the Congress government was mixed. 48.4 percent of the people described the functioning of the Congress government as ‘very good’ or ‘good’, while 51.6 percent described it as ‘average’, ‘bad’ or ‘very bad’.
Home Lakshmi Yojana was most liked
Out of the five major schemes of the Congress, the most liked scheme was home Lakshmi, which was liked by 45.4% of the voters. Under this scheme, Rs 2,000 is given to the female head of the family every month. After this, Shakti Yojana was liked by 19%, food fate 17%, home Jyoti 13.5% and youth fund was liked by 2%. At the same time, 3% of the people said that they did not know about these schemes.
