The case of murder of Dalit woman Sunita and kidnapping of her daughter Ruby, which took place in Kapsad village of Sardhana police station area, appeared in the court on Sunday evening. The police quietly presented Ruby in the ACJM court. Ruby’s statements were recorded for about 50 minutes, which will be handed over to the investigator of the case in a sealed envelope. Accused Paras Som is yet to appear in the CJM court.
Paras Som, along with his associates, had murdered Sunita and kidnapped her daughter Ruby in Kapsad village of Sardhana in Meerut district of UP. Amidst the ongoing tension for three days, the police arrested the main accused in the case, Paras Som, late on Saturday evening.
In a joint operation of Meerut and Saharanpur police, the kidnapped girl Ruby was recovered safely from Haridwar. SSP Dr. Vipin Tada said that Paras Som will be interrogated by taking him on remand.
Medical checkup also done
Ruby’s medical checkup was done at the district hospital on Sunday. Paras’ medical test is yet to be done. It is being told that Ruby’s testimony will be important in this case, because Paras Som was accused of murdering her mother in front of her.
The hearing took place quietly, no one came to know
Earlier it was being said that both of them would be produced in the CJM court. As soon as the news spread, the media gathered outside the CJM court. But the police silently presented Ruby in the case of ACJM II. After the testimony, the police took Ruby with them. Ruby’s statements are sealed and will be handed over to the investigator of the case.
