Jemima told that the beginning of the tournament was not easy for her. She said, ‘I was struggling with a lot of anxiety. Many times she would call her mother before the match and just keep crying. Jemima told that everything seemed numb, as if the body was moving, but the mind was lost somewhere. 4. Emotional help from fellow players
Jemima told that teammates Arundhati Reddy, Smriti Mandhana, and Radha Yadav did not leave her alone during this difficult period. She told, ‘I used to cry every day in front of Arundhati. She used to say jokingly – Don’t come in front of me, I will cry again, but she took care of me every day. Taking the name of Smriti Mandhana, he said, ‘She used to just stand in my net session, not saying anything. Just his presence meant a lot to me. Jemima said, ‘Radha always stayed with me and took care of me. I am very lucky that I have friends whom I can call family and I did not have to go through this difficult phase alone.
