India is soon to make another big jump in space science. ISRO (ISRO) chief V. Narayanan has announced that in December 2025 the organization will launch the first Anchud flight under the ‘Gaganyaan Mission’. The special thing is that it will be sent to a half-Humanoid robot named ‘Vyommitra’ instead of humans. This robot has been given the form of a woman who will work in place of humans during the mission. This mission will tell how ready India is to send humans in space.
Its purpose is to test those systems that will be used to send humans to space and bring back safely. According to Narayanan, if this flight is successful, two and without human missions will be completed next year. After this, in the beginning of 2027, India will send its first sky into space and bring it back safely. Gagan passengers have already been selected and their training is also going on.

Specialty of Vyommitra
- Vyommitra is a half-Humanoid robot with no lower limbs. The AI-Saksham robot is designed to fly on a rocket, withstanding vibrations and shocks during flight. It is made like a human being with the ability to speak and see facial gestures.
- The help of Vyommitra will help understand the operation of integrated air drops, pads abart test and test vehicle flights. Through this, whatever flaws will be helped to improve them.
- Vyommitra module can send not only monitoring but also alert through module parameters, it can do activities such as switch panel operations. The robot can interact with astronauts and recognize them as well as answer questions.

Preparations fast for Gaganyaan
Union Minister of State for Science and Technology Dr. Jitendra Singh informed in Parliament that the development and testing of Human Rated Launch Vehicle (HLVM3) for Gaganyaan Mission has been completed. Apart from this, all important preparations like crew modules, service modules and crew escape systems have also been completed.

Other missions of ISRO
But Gaganyaan is only the first step. India’s eyes are far ahead of this. ISRO plans to build 2035 India’s first space station and send India’s mission to the moon by 2040.
