Amid increasing tension with Iran, Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has made a big disclosure about the attack plan and military operations operation Rising Lion. On Friday, he said that the military operations against Iran, Operation Rising Lion, were approved in November 2024 six months ago. The campaign was earlier to be launched in April 2025, but was extended for some reasons.

In the case, Netanyahu said in a video message that the objective of this attack was to completely eliminate Iran’s nuclear weapons program. He said that Iran has brought its uranium prosperity to a level that it can make nine atomic bombs, which is a huge threat to Israel in the coming time.
Order of attack was given six months ago
Prime Minister Netanyahu said that I had ordered the Defense Department six months ago to end the nuclear program of Iran. However, the attack could not take place on that fixed date and its new date was decided with the advice of Israeli Defense Force (IDF) and other officials.

Already prepared the attack
He also said that this attack was not suddenly carried out, but it was necessary to see Iran’s possibility of getting nuclear weapons. Netanyahu clearly said that if Iran had nuclear weapons, our existence would have been in danger.
At the same time, some critics have described this attack as a means of diverting attention from the internal problems of the Israel government and the failure of the hostages in the Gaza. On this, PM Netanyahu said that after the assassination of Hasan Nasrallah, the leader of Hizbollah, Israel had understood that Iran would pursue its nuclear program fast and it happened.
Netanyahu’s displeasure with Iran’s antics
In his video message, PM Netanyahu further said that Iran has never taken steps in recent months, such as preparing to make rich uranium weapons. He warned that if it is not stopped, Iran could make nuclear weapons very soon, possibly one year or less. The Prime Minister asked the citizens not to be very excited on this success and maintain restraint as Iran can retaliate, for which Israel may have to pay the price.

Talk about American support
Along with this, Netanyahu also talked about American support. He said that the US did not directly support the attack as it was interacting with Iran, but he expressed confidence that the US would support Israel in the future, as US President Donald Trump has made it clear that Iran would not be allowed to become nuclear weapons.
