The war between Iran and Israel has reached the seventh day.
The world’s eye on Iran’s fuel fuel enrichment plant amidst the struggle between Iran and Israel. It is present in a hill in Iran at 295 feet i.e. about 90 meters depth.
Its texture and strategic location is such that no country can destroy it from an airstrike. To reach the base of the furdos, five tunnels have been cut and bunned in the depth.
Its control is with the nuclear power organization (AEOI), it is Iran’s second uranium enrichment facility after Natanj. Israel wants to eliminate this base for a long time.
To destroy this, only GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator Bunker-Buster Bomb and B-2 Stealth aircraft are capable, but it is not so easy. To destroy it, these bombs will have to be stained several times in one place.

Design to protect against air strikes
- Design: Fordo is built in 80-90 meters depth under a mountain, which is almost impossible to destroy with air strikes. It extends to about 54,000 sq ft and has two enrichment halls.
- Centifusion: It has around 3,000 IR-1 centrifuge, out of which 1,044 JCPOA is used for isotopes producing. By 2024, Iran has increased the number of IR-6 centrifuge.
- Promotion: In 2012, Fordo began production of up to 20% of the medical uranium for medical. In March 2023, IAEA created a uranium with 83.7% purity, capable of making nuclear weapons (90%).
- Security: The Russian S-300 missile safety system was deployed here at 2016.
Why does Israel want to destroy Fordo plant
The Fordo Atomic Plant from Secret Documents was revealed in 2009. However, the real information of this plant came to light in 2018 when Israel stole Iran’s nuclear documents. 55 thousand documents had the plans, blueprints and objectives of the fordo.
It was written that arms-grade uranium will be manufactured in the plant and at least 2 nuclear weapons can be made every year. According to David Elbralite of the Institute for Science and International Security Think Tank, these documents clear that Iran’s intention was to make nuclear weapons.
The International Atomic Energy Agency also admitted that the size and design of this plant is not in accordance with peaceful use. This is why Israel is behind destroying it. Ford Fuel Enrichment Plant (FFEP), also known as Shaheed Ali Mohammadi Nuclear Facility.
Israel also accused of keeping nuclear weapons
Israel, who is targeting Iran’s nuclear program, is accused of keeping weapons himself. Today it has an estimated more than 90 nuclear weapons and its highly-enhanced nuclear site in Dimona has a large amount of plutonium production capacity.
Israel is neither part of the United Nations’s nuclear non -proliferation treaty nor allows any agency to inspect at the nuclear bases.
Trump may join the war due to Netanyahu’s pressure US President Trump initially stressed Israeli’s demand for an attack on Iran’s nuclear program, emphasizing diplomacy. But Israeli PM Netanyahu changed the situation. Netanyahu prepared for extensive attacks, causing Trump under pressure.
He is considering US military assistance, such as fuel and bombing. This change is reversed with his initial reluctance, as he wants to stop Iran with nuclear weapons, but was impressed by Netanyahu’s strategy.
