Champions trophy 2025 kidnapping threat: Pakistan’s Intelligence Bureau has issued a warning about the possible threat from ISKP (Islamic State Khorasan province) during the Champions Trophy 2025. In the year 2024, a 19 -minute video was released by the ISKP -affiliated Al Azam Media, in which cricket was described as Verson Vapan of Intellectual War against Muslims. He also argued that cricket promotes nationalism and propagation contrary to Islamic jihadi ideology. He criticized the Taliban for supporting the Afghanistan cricket team.
