The investigation so far reveals the accused’s involvement in the crime. The accused is yet to be interrogated. In such a situation, the accused cannot be given the benefit of anticipatory bail at this stage.
On July 23, 2025, a case was registered against Yash at Sanganer Sadar police station in Jaipur for raping a minor for two and a half years on the pretext of making a career in cricket and through emotional blackmail.
Chats, photos and videos found in victim’s mobile The victim’s lawyer Divesh Sharma said- After the case was registered, the police recovered the CDR of the mobile of the victim and the accused. This confirms the conversation between the two. Along with this, there is also a record of their stay in the hotels mentioned by the victim.
By analyzing the chats, photos and videos found from the victim’s mobile, a case is made against the accused under POCSO. He told the court that the accused called the victim to meet him at a hotel near the railway station on 3-4 May 2023 while playing an IPL match in Jaipur and asked for sex.
When the victim refused, he called her to Kanpur (UP) on September 2-3, 2023, on the pretext of helping her financially and emotionally regarding her father’s case and joining the Cricket Academy in Kanpur and raped her in a hotel.
Always met the victim in a public place Kunal Jaiman, lawyer of the accused cricketer, said that the accused has always met the victim in a public place and in the presence of other team members. He was not found alone anywhere in a secluded place.
The victim never told the accused that she was less than 18 years of age. Even in the FIR she did not say that she was underage when she was raped for the first time.
At the same time, if the victim was raped in Kanpur then why did she go to different cities with the applicant even after that? The victim did not clarify anything about this.
Case registered with the intention of blackmailing Lawyer Kunal Jaiman said- The victim has filed the case with the intention of extorting money by harassing, insulting and blackmailing her. He is a respected cricketer who is being framed by a gang of women on false allegations.
The victim presented herself to him as an adult. Being an adult, he himself met the applicant without any pressure or coercion and told him about his financial condition, due to which he transferred money to buy a cricket kit. Even after that, the victim kept extorting money from him on some pretext or the other.
The victim is also complicit in the case registered against him in Ghaziabad (UP).
FIR was also filed in Ghaziabad An FIR was registered against Yash Dayal on July 6 at Indirapuram police station in Ghaziabad under section 69 of the BNS (sexual intercourse by deception). A girl had accused the cricketer of sexual exploitation on the pretext of marriage. According to the complainant, both of them met about five years ago.
