The final date of the IPL 2025 may proceed. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Friday postponed the league in view of the tension between India and Pakistan. However, now after the ceasefire is implemented, the board is now considering starting the tournament as soon as possible. The board plans to extend the IPL final date by 30 May. The board is considering hosting the remaining 16 matches in three places from May 16- Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad. The new schedule will be given to the IPL franchise by Sunday night. However, many franchises have expressed concern about the availability of their foreign players.

A senior BCCI official told the Indian Express on the condition of confidentiality, ‘The IPL was suspended for a week and now the IPL final can be played on May 30 instead of 25 May. The remaining matches will be played at a limited place. This program will be sent to all the teams of IPL by Sunday night.
Not only this, the BCCI has asked all the teams of IPL to report on their home ground by Tuesday except Punjab Kings. According to the report of the Indian Express, the BCCI has also asked the franchisees to talk to their foreign players and ask them about the plan ahead and also ask how long they can return to India.

Most foreign players left home
Most foreign players and associate staff left for their home on Friday after the BCCI officially suspended the IPL. Now franchises are arranging to recall them. The BCCI has asked the franchises to gather their respective players by Tuesday.
A total of 16 matches are yet to be played in the IPL, including 12 league rounds and four playoff matches. The BCCI needs at least two weeks to complete the 12 matches of the league round and six days for the final, including the playoffs. According to the predetermined schedule, the final was to be held on 25 May and now there are just two weeks left for this date. ESPNcricinfo had earlier reported that the board was considering resumption of the league around May 15. If the league starts from May 16, then if the double header is played continuously for the next six days, it will end against the league round from May 21-22. ESPN Cricinfo also informed that all 10 franchisees are trying to call foreign players and coaching staff back to India.
‘A neutral place will be fixed for Punjab’
A BCCI source told Indian Express, ‘All franchises have been asked to report on their home ground with all their players by Tuesday. Punjab will be given a neutral place. Hence their reporting site is yet to be confirmed. The board is planning to keep as much double header as possible. The BCCI will also talk to the government in this matter. At the same time, IPL chairman Arun Dhumal had told this newspaper that they are looking at the possibility of immediately starting the suspended IPL after the declaration of ceasefire between India and Pakistan on Saturday.

‘Central government will also be talked about program’
