The company will motivate users to download the app from the search results of the App Store. Currently, these sponsored ads appear at the top of the search results in the App Store. After the upcoming update, the format of the ad will not change no matter where it appears in the search results.
Apple said that for this, app developers and advertisers do not need any changes. Advertisers will be allowed to use keywords of their choice for ads. They will not need to bid for a specific position for ad placing. The company says that the highest conversion rate of ads appearing at the top of search is 60%.
The iPhone maker said that the placement of the ad will depend on the keywords given by the developers. Additionally, users will also get deeplink support with the new update. The company says that this feature will be rolled out with the upcoming update of iOS 26. At the same time, these ads will be shown to iPad users in the App Store search of the upcoming iOS version as well as iPad OS 18.
