Passengers across the country are facing a lot of problems due to technical problems in the operation of the country’s largest airline Indigo and shortage of crew. On Thursday, more than 300 IndiGo flights were canceled in three major airports of the country – Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore.
Complaint of passengers from Maharashtra
The situation at Pune airport appeared to be worsening due to delays and cancellations of Indigo flights. Satish Kale, a passenger, said, “Our flight was at 7 am. There was no message of delay, nor of cancellation. The airport is full. People should have been informed in advance.”
Airline accused of silent strike and monopoly
Another passenger alleged, “The airline is creating an atmosphere like some kind of silent strike in protest. They want to show that they already have a monopoly in the industry.” He said that Indigo is saying that there is no crew. Three passengers have become unconscious. The government should find an alternative to Indigo.

Neither the airline nor the ministry is helping – passenger
Sanjay, a passenger in Mumbai, said the problems were being reported due to software updates in Airbus. Flights have been deteriorating since last two days. I missed the connecting flight. He complained that neither the airline nor the ministry was helping.
Emotional pain was also visible among the passengers. A passenger named Jumman Ali Khan said that my brother died. Ticket prices have increased from Rs 36 to Rs 40 thousand, but flights are not available. Parents are sitting at the airport, but are not able to go.

Passengers are facing problems in Jammu and Chennai also
A delay of more than four hours was reported in the flight from Jammu to Delhi. A passenger said that we do not know whether the flight will leave today or not. Another passenger said that the Delhi-bound flight, which was earlier scheduled for 10:30 pm, has been rescheduled for 15:30 pm.
Many flights in Chennai were also affected. A passenger said that I am fed up with the services of Indigo. Yesterday the direct flight from Mumbai to Kolkata was canceled and then diverted via Chennai. That too got canceled after coming here. Now the flight from Port Blair to Kolkata has also been cancelled.

Passengers stranded across the country, demand for solution
People are stuck in trouble due to extensive delays and frequent cancellations of flights. While many passengers have demanded government intervention, there is still no clear idea of airline operations returning to normal.
