The Indian Coast Guard got a big success on Saturday-Sunday night. During this period, 300 kg of narcotics worth Rs 1800 crore were seized. In fact, the ICG launched a joint operation with the Gujarat ATS on the night of 12-13 April. During this period, the team of ICG and ATS seized 300 kg of drugs worth Rs 1800 crore from the international maritime line near Gujarat coast. On seeing the ship of Coast Guard, the smugglers threw the banned drug into the sea and ran across the international sea boundary line. The drug was recovered from the sea and handed over to the ATS for further investigation. This is a great example of strong inter-agency coordination against drug trafficking.

In fact, Gujarat Anti -Terrorism Squad and Coast Guard seized 300 kg of drugs worth Rs 1,800 crore. It was thrown into the Arabian Sea by smugglers before crossing the international border line. A statement issued by the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) on Monday stated that the seized banned material could be Mitterfetamine. It has been handed over to the ATS for further investigation.

Based on the information received from the Gujarat ATS, an ICG ship from the Coast Guard area (West) was diverted to the area in the sea near the International Maritime Line (IMBL), where the presence of a suspected boat was detected. The ICG ship identified a suspected boat despite the darkness of the night. As soon as the ship came to know about the arrival of the ship, the suspected boat threw his drug consignment into the sea before running towards IMBL. The vigilant ICG ship immediately deployed its sea boat to recover the consignment thrown while chasing the suspected boat. The seized narcotics were brought to Porbandar from the ICG ship for further investigation.
