In Operation Sindoor, the world saw the strength of Make in India i.e. Indian -made weapons. In order to increase the glory of such a country, another warship INS Mahendragiri is almost ready. Mahendragiri’s strength is so tremendous that the enemy will not get a chance to stand in front of it.
The Indian Navy protects the costal line of about 11 thousand kilometers in the country, with a 320 km special economic zone. The Indian Navy is already ready to protect such a large area and now a new warship is going to join it. Its length will be 149 meters, width 17.8 meters and its top speed will be 28 knots. Mahendragiri is the last warship of Project 17A. Under the project, four warships are being built on the Majgaon dock.
China and Pakistan will sleep
The fourth and final ship of the Nilgiri category being built by MDL, ‘Mahendragiri’ has been designed by the Bureau of Naval Design of the Indian Navy. It is equipped with advanced state -of -the -art weapons, sensors, communication facilities and other systems. China and Pakistan have lost sleep due to its involvement in the Indian security fleet.
What is the specialty of Mahendragiri?
Assistance in firing, two 30 mm rapid fire guns will provide the ship closely defense capacity, while an SRGM gun will enable effective to assist in firing. Indigenously developed triple tube light weight torpedo launcher and rocket launcher will increase the anti -submarine capacity of the ship. ‘Mahendragiri’ will be about 149 meters long and 16 meters wide. Its discharge will be about 6,600 tonnes and the maximum speed will be 30 knots.
Ready to combat danger
The ship’s ship is designed to combat the threat of enemy aircraft and anti-ship cruise missiles. Such advanced vessels also have long distance surface -to -air missile system. These facilities help in hiding the frigates from radar and other sensors. This helps the frigates to avoid the enemy attacks.
These include air to air missiles, anti -ship missiles, anti submarine missiles and an indigenously developed weapon system. These weapons and sensors enable frigates to kill various types of goals. This system controls and coordinates various devices and systems of frigates. This helps to operate frigates more efficiently.
India’s strength will increase in Indian Ocean region
With these advanced facilities, INS Mahendragiri will help the Indian Navy to increase its strength and face challenges in the Indian Ocean region. Like the previous version, Mahendragiri is built with integrated construction method. The total cost of the P-17A series is Rs 27,500 crore and MDL Mumbai is constructing four of the seven ships in this category.
The steel used in creating the ship’s solution is indigenously developed DMR 249A, a low-carbon micro-sweet metal grade steel made of the cell. The P-17 Alpha ship is far more advanced than any other warship operated by the Indian Navy and is equipped with powerful weapons and sensor packages, which are capable of neutralizing the threats of water in three routes, sea surface and sea in the sea.
Supersonic surface -to -surface missile
The ‘Mahendragiri’ designed in the country has state -of -the -art weapons, sensors, advanced action information systems, integrated platform management system, world -class modular living space, sophisticated power distribution system and other modern features.
It is equipped with a supersonic surface-to-surface-to-surface missile system and its air defense capacity is designed to combat enemy aircraft hazards and anti-ship cruise missiles, which will revolve around the launch and long-range surface missile system.
