According to the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi spoke to Indian National Security Advisor Ajit Doval on phone. Ajit Doval said that India needs to take anti -terrorism action due to serious casualties of Indians in the Pahalgam terror attack. The war was not the choice of India and it was not in the interest of any side. India and Pakistan will be committed to the ceasefire and will expect to restore regional peace and stability as soon as possible.

To this, Wang Yi said that China condemns the Pahalgam terror attack and opposes all types of terrorism. The current international situation is disturbed and connected among themselves. The Chinese Foreign Minister said that India and Pakistan are neighbors who cannot be removed and both are neighbors of China. China appreciates your statement that war is not the choice of India and honestly hopes that India and Pakistan will remain calm and restrained.

He said that he would properly handle the differences through dialogue and consultation and prevent the situation from growing. China supports and expects a wide and permanent ceasefire through consultation with India and Pakistan. It is in the fundamental interest of India and Pakistan and the international community also has a common desire.
