India-A defeated South Africa-A by 4 wickets in the first ODI and took a 1-0 lead in the series. In Rajkot, the visiting team scored 285 runs losing 9 wickets. India achieved the target in the 50th over after losing 4 wickets. Team vice-captain Rituraj Gaikwad scored a century.
South Africa recovered after a bad start South Africa won the toss and chose to bat at the Niranjan Shah Stadium. The team had a bad start and 5 wickets fell for 53 runs. Keshile scored 15 runs and Rivaldo Moonsamy scored 10 runs. Rubin Harman, Jordan Harman and captain Marx Ackerman could not even open the account.

India A won with Gaikwad’s century Rituraj Gaikwad and Abhishek Sharma gave a strong start to India A in front of a big target. Both made an opening partnership of 64 runs. Abhishek was out after scoring 31 runs. After him, Riyan Parag also returned to the pavilion after scoring only 8 runs. Captain Tilak Verma took the team beyond 100 runs, he was out after scoring 39 runs.

Second ODI on 16 November For South Africa-A, Tian Van Vuuren, Yorn Fortune and Otniel Bartman took 2-2 wickets. Jordan Harman, Delano Potgieter and Tshepo Moreki could not take any wicket. The second ODI will be played on 16th November in Rajkot itself. The test series between the two teams was drawn 1-1.
